It is with great pleasure that we announce that Woking & Horsell Cricket Club has achieved Clubmark status. The accreditation was officially made on 8 October 2012. The Clubmark accreditation recognises clubs who:
- deliver quality cricketing programmes through integration with the local community;
- maintain high levels of duty of care for junior players, and;
- demonstrate good club management.
The accreditation is designed to assist clubs with attracting new members and retaining current ones, as well as assisting the club when applying for funding or seeking new sponsors, among other objectives.
As part of the standard process the club will be subject to annual checks and three-yearly re-applications to ensure that we remain up to scratch.
To ensure that all members, playing and non-playing, abide by the MCC Spirit of Cricket which incorporates the Spirit of Cricket and by the Laws of Cricket.
To ensure a duty of care to all members of the club by adopting and implementing the ECB ‘Safe Hands – Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children’.
To ensure a duty of care to all members of the club by adopting and implementing the ECB Anti-discrimination code.
