Tuesday evening at the Wheatsheaf saw W&H play the first of this season's 20/20 matches in the Network Cricket League. Against a strong Woking United team (Qais' team) W&H bowled well and restricted a powerful batting line up to 144. Neutral spectators were few, but all were surprised at how the skipper hid down the order to stay clear of young Angus. W&H Captain Shazad used his bowlers well, and all put in a good effort in keeping the total under control.

W&H started well and Josh looked like he could do it on his own until he nicked one through to the keeper, who took a good, sharp catch. Fellow opener Liam had no such problems and his commanding half century kept W&H up with the rate. Some tidy spin bowling, by Saf Nawaz amongst others, put W&H behind the rate until an onslaught from Henri sealed the win in the penultimate over.

As always, many thanks to Jak Afzal, of Network Cars, for all his efforts in putting this competition together. Here's hoping this sets W&H up for a win in the championship 20/20 this evening.
