The club is very sad to hear of the passing of Peter Allan on Friday 21 July.

Peter joined the club later in life, howver, he finished playing well into his seventies making him one of the oldest players we have ever had. Peter had played at a high level earlier in his career and that was easy to see as he was an excellent wicketkeeper and opening bat. He was part of the 3rdXI league winning team in 1999 along with son Matt.

Peter also made a big contribution to the club off the field where his professional skills led to him being Building and House Chairman makng a big contribution to the development of our clubhouse. He will always been known as the Quizmaster too having performed the role for many years. He will always be remembered fondly off the field as a gentleman and someone who enjoyed a post match pint and an occasional cigar to discuss the days play.

Peter will be missed at Brewery Road and Westfiled too, where he was often seen watching Matt. Our thoughts are with the family.
